Volunteering

Volunteering plays a crucial role in the operations of Bentonville Animal Services. Our dedicated staff and volunteers work together to provide animals in our care with exercise, mental stimulation, affection, and companionship.

Here are some of the ways you can contribute as a volunteer:

  • Dog walking

  • Cat socialization

  • Event support (including Yappy Hours, First Fridays, and Adoption Events)

  • Adoption assistance

  • Pet photography and writing pet bios

  • Participation in special projects

If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the application and release of liability forms by clicking on the links below.

Fostering

We are committed to ensuring that every animal brought to us has the opportunity for a long and fulfilling life. Recognizing that shelters can be stressful environments, we seek to provide less stressful housing options through foster care. Foster homes can facilitate quicker recovery, reduce behavioral issues, and enhance the likelihood of adoption.

We occasionally care for the following animals at our shelter:

  • Bottle Babies (0-8 weeks)

  • Puppies & Kittens (8 weeks-4 months)

  • Nursing Mothers with Babies

  • Healthy Adult Dogs & Cats (4+ months)

  • Medical Case Dogs & Cats

  • Senior Dogs (7+ years)

  • Senior Cats (10+ years)

To become a foster caregiver, please download and complete the Foster Application using the link below. Submit the completed application via email to pets@bentonvillear.com.
